Bachelors Degree is required.
15+ years of overall experience with 5+ years experience managing a department of 5+ people.
Must have expert knowledge of tier 1 ERP material planning and procurement functionality such as Oracle or SAP.
Duties: As the Purchasing Manager you will:
Support the inventory needs of the plant while minimizing inventory investment.
Effectively manage the Bridgeton Purchasing organization to ensure robust processes are in place to support fulfillment of Bridgeton's production and service part demand requirements.
Ensure processes result in maximum asset utilization without constraining Bridgeton demand.
Develop and effectively communicate organizational goals and responsibilities on a continuous basis. Define key measurements to manage the Bridgeton Purchasing performance to meet organizational goals and individual objectives.
Create and encourage a learning organization that capitalizes on improvement opportunities, implements proactive processes to anticipate customer requirements, and provides applicable training and education to all employees that better enables them to achieve their individual objectives. Optimize inventory to support production needs and meet target inventory levels and turns minimizing inventory cost.
Create, implement, and maintain processes designed to reduce shortages, control inventory levels, reduce supplier lead time, and increase efficiency of the supply chain.
Manage the timely payment of goods received utilizing the ACS automated Accounts Payables system.
Ensure customer satisfaction (internal and external) by employing continuous improvement projects goals focused on cost, quality, delivery, and safety.
Manage employee performance through the PMP (Performance Management Process). This process includes alignment of employee goals, objectives, and competencies to support Hussmann and Climate control business strategies.
