B. S. Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
10+ years of experience in distribution, logistics, or packaging environment
Six Sigma Green belt/Black belt and Lean experience
Willingness to travel 25% of the time
Proficient in Microsoft Office, MSProject, AutoCAD, Access, and Visio
Experience working with or installing WMS packages
Experience with automation especially ASRS environments
Previous management experience in technical environment
Experience working with vendors/contractors in project management
Duties: Provide day to day management of a subset of the Engineering group that include:
Maintaining project load to ensure group is productive.
Mentoring and developing members each member of the group.
Developing and managing to project and departmental budgets.
Lead cross-functional teams to deliver large-scale projects for the organization that result in cost reductions, service improvements, or meet changing business objectives.
Through the knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office applications, MTM, material handling equipment and facility design, the W&D Eng Manager will provide solutions to specific problems that face the organization in a timely manner.
Engineering Manager Position will:
Provide design, analysis and support to operations
Work with cross-functional teams
Work on major operations improvement initiatives
Perform equipment selection, justification and implementation
Provide documented training materials and lead hands on training
Work on new construction and remodeling activities as needed
Perform project development and implementation
Make frequent presentations to Sr. Executive Management
