Qualifications: BS degree plus 1 2 years post graduate study or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Purchasing Manager Certification (C.P.M.) from the Institute for Supply Management (ISM).
Minimum 5 7 years of purchasing experience.
Proven strong contracting and negotiation skills

Duties: This position will develop and maintain sourcing strategies for various corporate departments that measure and achieve the lowest total cost while meeting or exceeding quality and delivery expectations of these customers; establish assigned commodity strategies; lead in the selection and development of suppliers, negotiate business and pricing agreements, improvement activities and projects for Corporate Procurement.

1. Strategic source planning with corporate department heads to determine needs for assigned outsourced goods and services and strategies for providing them.
2. Lead negotiations and contracting activities with Express Scripts suppliers, minimizing risk, maximizing value and potential cost savings
3. Develop improvement priorities and cost saving initiatives with respect to the strategic sourcing assignments.
4. Develop a superior working relationship with assigned suppliers along with key individuals and groups within Express Scripts.
5. Manage projects supporting the Corporate Procurement Initiatives
6. Promote Procurements expertise and services to internal customers
