Qualifications: Progressive state of the art manufacturer of quality injection-molded exterior and interior automotive parts located 50 miles east of St. Louis has an immediate opening for an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer.


This position requires a 4 yr degree preferably in a technical fields: ASQ, CQE or CQA certification preferred. Min. 3yrs experience in Advanced SPC, DOE inspection and testing, and project management is required with at least 1 year invoicing customer / supplier interface and launch team participation, including PPAP experience. Also prefer someone with epxerience in GD&T and layout background involving large plastic panels.

Required skills include ability to read automotive blueprints and engineering specifications: excellent problem solving and math skills, including 8D methodology, along with proficiency in PC applications.

Duties: Responsibilities include oversee incoming quality and business operating audit systems, DMN system and ongoing supplier quality. MOnitors and evaluates supplier performance with input from other areas including manufacturing, scheduling, and purchasing. Assist suppliers in development of effective quality systems. Monitor receiving inspection function as performed by auditors. Leads and/or assists task forces and teams required.
