Qualifications: Employees in positions at this level provide demand / forecast analysis, prepare key metric tracking and reports on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis to all levels in the Solae organization. Employees at this level interact with primarily the sales and commercial side of the business. Employees also perform a variety of data collection/entry tasks within APO: Demand Planning require in-depth knowledge of the system and processes associated. The individual is also expected to operate a variety of office equipment and computer systems utilizing SAP and various other office software packages such as Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Access. Broad knowledge of the organization, programs, practices and procedures of a particular business process is central to the performance of duties. They work under general supervision. Duties: Typical duties of a Demand Planning Forecast Analyst include:
Work with account managers, area sales directors and Commercial VPs to ensure complete, accurate and timely input of the forecast along with analytical reports or performance metrics results at the tactical and strategic level. Provide detail analysis to assist in driving better (higher) forecast accuracy Develop, generate, and distribute performance metrics reports on an established frequency Perform ad hoc forecast / demand analysis reports for peers and superiors Ownership in assisting with data integrity and process to drive improved forecast accuracy Accountable for the coordination, prioritization and results delivery of forecast accuracy improvement projects Assist in developing the monthly Demand DIBM meeting presentation Be a subject matter expert for best practice of demand forecasting for Solae (system and process). Drive robust consensus data and process leading up to the Global demand review.
Bachelors Degree degree in Supply Chain, Business, Statistics or closely related field.
Five (5) years of work experience in forecast / demand management / analysis.
Knowledge of: 1. Advance Planning Optimization (APO) Demand Planning (DP) 2. MS Office software package (Extensive level) 3. SAP systems 4. Statistical forecasting
Ability to: 1. Perform detailed analytical analysis 2. Communicate effectively, orally and in writing 3. Work effectively in a team environment as well as exercise independent judgment 4. Work in a fast-paced environment and on multiple tasks 5. Manage time effectively 6. Apply transactional data processing practices and procedures 7.
