- Ability to use Transportation Management Systems

Duties: POSITION SUMMARY:

Person will be responsible for helping develop the companys international strategy by using their experience in all areas of international transportation.

KEY RESULTS AREAS:

- Familiar with all types of customer requests:

- Ocean and Air, Import and Export
- Rail Services
- Barge Services
- Warehousing
- Domestic (some)

- Identify and call on prospective international business, develop international business with existing domestic customers.

- Enter and trace loads using a TMS system

- Understands the international market and Inco-terms. (for example CBP, BIS, FDA, BNA)

- Understand licensing, certifications, government agencies, regulations and requirements. (for example FMC, TSA, IAC, ISF)

- Provide quotes and logistics options to agents and logistics advisors.

- Coach logistics advisors on processes, systems, policies, industry practices, procedures and problem prevention.

- Educate customers on import/export process, commodity packaging, shipping documents, schedule B, duties and taxes, due diligence.

- Ability to develop relationships or manage current relationships with employees, company agents, domestic and bonded carriers, customers, customs house brokers in other states, warehouses, etc.

- Ideal candidate should have existing relationships with bonded carriers, warehouses, customs brokers in other states, customs compliance.
